Castaway Cats Catamaran Charters

	Our Tiki 30, "Nok Talay", is a Wharram-designed, Polynesian-inspired catamaran measuring 30ft in length and 15ft abeam. This is an elegant versatile doksmfuble-canoe which can provide ample comfort for basic living on the sea. The stable double-hulled design of the catamaran lends the Tiki 30 twice the deckspace of a monohull, plus the added advantage of a shallow draft. This combination of accessibility, increased living space and stability makes 'Nok Talay' the perfect craft for bareboat charter in the Samui region.

The simple 'boomless' sail plan and roller reefing foresail can easily and safely be managed by two adults in most wind conditions, and has proven itself to be a highly efficient rig capable of hull speed in excess of 7 knots during modest winds.



Nok Talay has a double berth in each hull, one single or storage berth to the fore, and large uncluttered deckspace, and decking area for sleeping under the stars. Due to the tropical climate most living time is spent outside the hulls. The Tiki 30's 2.5m wide cockpit has ample seating for 8 people. A large awning covers the cockpit for protection from the tropical sun. Forward of the mast is an area of wooden decking for sunbathing, while aft trampolines are placed for relaxing above the water.

The compact galley contains a two-ring stove, sink, storage shelves, and worktop with extended overhead hatch to allow full standing room while preparing food. In the opposite hull the navigation area holds all marine charts, GPS, Multi Depth & Speed, VHF radio, and CD player.

Marine life is in abundance throughout the whole cruising area, including seasonal visits by 7m long whalesharks. Snorkeling gear and fishing tackle is included in the charter.

'Nok Talay' has a flushing toilet, and a foot-operated pump supplies fresh water for on-deck showering.

Day Trips

We can pick you up from either Koh Samui or Koh Phangan and can take you to deserted beaches and idyllic anchorages. Ang Thong Marine Park

Ang Thong Marine Park, just 30km away and 4 hours sail from Nathon (Koh Samui), is an ideal place to get away and sample Paradise. We can take you and your friends for longer trips to Ang Thong, staying either at the park�s 6, 8, or 10 bedded bungalows, or camping on the beach.

Day 1

We leave around 10:30am.and arrive in Ang Thong approx 4 hours later. You can participate in sailing Nok Talay or just laze on our spacious deck, soaking up the sun and relaxing to CD music from our stereo. We serve a light lunch, and arrive in Ang Thong for swimming and relaxing before the sun sets. Dinner will be served in the Park's Restaurant.

Day 2

During the day we sail around the parks many islands stopping frequently at deserted beaches so that you can swim, snorkel or just laze on the beach. We also have fishing equipment so you to catch your own fish for our evening beach BBQ.

Day 3

Hiking to the Emerald lake is best before 9:00am before anyone else arrives, and gives breathtaking views of the Park. We leave Ang Thong around 11:00, setting sail for home, and arrive back around 17:00.

Nok Talay' will be stocked with 60 Litres of fuel, 120 Litres of water and all basic provisions upon the day of your arrival. Transfers to/from the airport or your hotel on Koh Samui / Koh Phangan are included in your bareboat package.

A crewed charter aboard Nok Talay is integral tour in which all basic tasks, such as raising the anchor, setting the sails and steering are shared among the "Crew". Join us for an interactive Hands-on experience! Includes up to 2 Crew, ( Please note: all provisioning is the responsibility of the charterer and is not included in the price) For Charter guests of 5 or more, accommodation will be found ashore at local prices. One double berth, one single berth and two single "on-deck" sleeping spaces are available onboard.
