Choeng Mon
The area is only about 15 minutes north of Chaweng but
because of its coastline, the beach remains undisturbed.
A small but
magnificent bay, with wide sandy beaches fringed with a rock
formation on one side and a small island on the other.
Several small coves around the area have been developed by
luxurious resorts like the Imperial Boathouse, with
accommodation in authentic rice barges and superb hillside
villas. The views are absolutely breathtaking. Although the
hillside is quite steep, the hotel's silent electric shuttle
transports guests effortlessly down to the beach.
No village
nearby but a few local mini-marts, restaurants and tour
counters are outside the hotel. If you feel the need for a
night out. Chaweng is not far.
